With training held indoors at Holmleigh Park Sports Centre, we are committed to developing teamwork, dedication, and a passion for netball. To join Titans Netball Gloucester, register below. Once we receive your email, we’ll check for availability in the appropriate age group. If we have a space, we’ll get in touch with further details on how to join. If there are no spaces available, we will add your child to our waiting list and notify you when a spot opens up.
For the 2024/25 season, Titans Netball Gloucester offers the following:
- **U16s (School Years 10 & 11)**: Competitive squad playing in the Gloucestershire Netball League, Division 3.
- **U14s & U13s**: Recreational squads focusing on training and friendly matches. Gloucestershire Netball League season 25/26.
- **U12s & U11s**: Recreational squads with a focus on training and friendly matches. Gloucestershire Netball League season 25/26.
- **U10s & U9s**: Recreational training with occasional matches.
- **U8s, U7s, & U6s**: Recreational training focused on skill development.

Training sessions are held at Holmleigh Park Sports Centre.
- U16s (School Years 10 & 11): Thursday evenings from 8.00-9.00 PM, starting on 17th October 2024.
-U14s & U13s (School Years 8 & 9): Thursday evenings from 7.00-8.00pm, starting on 17th October 2024.
- All other age groups: Training times are to be confirmed.
Keep an eye out for updates on schedules for the other age groups!

The cost of all training sessions for all years is £23 p/month.

Kit will be available to purchase very soon but is not mandatory.

We ask all of our players to:
Remove all jewellery including stud earrings or cover with a plaster before training.
Make sure that you have a drink of water.
Wear trainers & sports kit.
Nails must be cut short.

Netball is a high-intensity sport with multiple changes of direction, accelerations, abrupt decelerations, jumps, landings, and an overall high volume of constant running. Netballer’s need to be both anaerobically and aerobically fit for performance with overall good balance. A players deep postural muscles work hard stabilising the body to maintain balance during transitions from speedy motion and high power to a complete static posture cementing the feet and preventing a fault.

Netball helps control cholesterol. Decreasing LDL (bad cholesterol) levels and increases HDL (good cholesterol) levels.

Netball helps prevent osteoporosis. Exercise strengthens the bones.

Netball strengthens the immune system. Exercising more = getting sick less.

Netball can improve lung function. Exercise causes more oxygen to be drawn into the body with carbon monoxide and waste gases expelled. This increases lung capacity improving lung function and efficiency.
